  7. Mine I built back in the 70's. Was a show car in the 50's called MR. Maroon. I found it in a barn with the help of a friend. Someone had tried to but a V8 in it and there it sat for many years. Best part was perfect body. I built it as a restorod first then decided I wanted more hot rod out of it so I cut the top off one night and the rest is history.
Frame build was featured in Rod Action.

That won't be hard to get in shape. Just keep those wheels on it. But if you don't I'll buy them off you.

That thread was hysterical. I'm still happy I got "Featured" though. lol. I never did see the chopped and channeled Model A picture. Maybe there is hope of getting my car in the Traditional section after all. Our conversation and pictures from there got deleted. You never know, maybe with a few modifications I can get in there. If not going to have to start another build. That car looks a lot like mine even if it was a joke back then.

Thank you. I haven't had it long but I'm really happy with it even though I had to pull the motor last week.

  21. Thought the color on this sedan looked good, so I saved this picture a while back. Wonder
what a different wheel color would do?

You were flyin blind in that with no back window. Going into the first lane on the highway at night must have been a challenge.

No biggie; everyone who drives a panel truck or sedan delivery gets used to it asap.

On a different note I've saved many pix from this thread and others to refer to when building my '30 sedan..

If you look, at only the wheels and fenders this one is absolutely perfect, stance wise. This is how I want my wheels and fenders to fit. I hope that mine turns out this nice. And without any rancor I must say to those who believe fenders are only gitboxes those of us who live on gravel roads really need fenders to preserve the paint on our cars.

I had a 65 chevy panel and visibility was a challenge but I had good size mirrors which helped a lot. As far as fenders I've sprayed my sedan with mud many times. I know what you mean. I've thought about putting some small ones on mine especially if I put a shinny paint job on it. The stance on this one is perfect. Good luck with your build.
