The color on that Roadster is killer. I'm trying to come up with a color for my sedan but can't make up my mind.

Not really. My roadster is fun and all but I have two young boys, 6 and 6 months, and I dont want to ride them in an open car. So it just sits. There really isn't a time where I'm not with at least one of them. Oh well. Maybe when they are older i can get a little free time to drive it. Till then it will sit and I'll focus on my 48 ford tudor and 49 coupe. They are more family friendly. IMG_20191120_213054_656.jpeg 20190730_114526.jpeg 20191117_154651.jpeg

I’m happy with mine, it’s the only one around here and everyone that knows it knows me. I’m not happy it’s not on the road again yet, but hoping next year is better than the last two have been, money wise and time wise. Doubt I’ll ever get rid it of it, it would be hard to replace. It’s different from the herd and so am I, so we make a good pair.....

The Willys is the last steel one I can afford, and isn’t going anywhere!
Still room in my heart for another roadster......

I fall in and out of love with both my willys all the time maybe as I have little time to work on them. But then I step back and think how long I had to wait to have them and think how lucky I am to have them and a family. Doesn't mean that they are keepers though really would like to own a 36 ford one day

IMG_6140.JPG IMG_6084.JPG IMG_6137.JPG IMG_0273.JPG IMG_1605.JPG IMG_1093.JPG Thanks to my late wife, a financial wizard, I have more than one. Very happy with them though I no longer enjoy driving my roadster. It's the only one that's not an automatic. Arthritis, knee & hip replacements & a couple of shoulder surgeries prevent clutching & shifting. MY 2 PUs, convertible & OT coupe all have lots of creature comforts.

  17. Every time I drive my coupe I'm blown away all over again! Took me 10 years of steady, part time work to get it to this point. I totally love this car. Some days I want to body-work and paint it but I'd worry about scratches and chips. No, I think I'll leave it the way it is although I have a set of old American torque thrusts for it. 34Americansfronts.jpg 34_10_12_4.jpg 34gasstation5_19.jpg
12/20/'19......we got a blast of great weather in the 50s and I've been out running errands in my coupe....my fellow club member swung by and he went with me to play hooky from our chores..heh heh..

I love my cars. After 46 years there is no feeling like driving something you built from scratch. It's always an adventure

I have my dream car (original bodied 32 3window) but I’m not happy with how it drives so I’m determined to make some changes this winter so I can drive it more. I’m going back to wide whitewall radials, putting the fenders back on, pulling the 3x2 off and adding a single 4 with a Holley sniper efi on it and reupholstering the car with red and white vinyl and adding chrome garnish moldings. I’ll go back to the stock headlights on a dropped 32 headlight bar and put the cowl lights back on plus the stock bumpers. If I get to missing the hot rod version of this car again, I’ve come up with another 32 3w that I’m going to build with satin paint, fenderless, louvered deck lid chopped top louvered hood and I’ll run a nasty bbc, 5 speed manual with overdrive and a 4:11 posi out back. I have a set of painted garnish moldings that I can cut down for that one.

Going back to this version except with a black grille and maybe black wheels or maybe red ones.

And building this one with a 2 1/2 inch chop, filled roof, louvered deck lid and hood top, fenderless and satin black and not sure about wheels. I may look for some Halibrand magnesium wheels for it.

Happy, yes; content, no. When young, I changed out wives like I did, and do, cars, then 20 years ago I made the mistake of finding the perfect woman, and Lo! things came to a standstill. Many years ago a friend married a Russian import and I thought: That would work - trade 'em in periodically for a different Russian model, or maybe next time Filipino. Never have found the "perfect" car. If I ever said to myself, This is the last car I'm gonna buy" I knew I was lying through my teeth as soon as I bought it. And, yes, Everybody was Kung fu fighting. And, it was, inescapably, a little bit frightening.

I've loved the C1 Corvettes from my first ride in 64. Took me ten years to build this one from a pile of parts. I've owned this one for 27 years, but still a couple of things to do. Yes I love it and still sit in the shop with a beer and stare at it.
