Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by BigO, Dec 10, 2019.

  1. 20191210_094818.jpg Just received my HAMB shift knob and it's awesome, it's #68 and even came in a velvet bag, now that's Class. Thanks again Ryan and the HAMB. BigO

    Good for you.
    Mike does beautiful work.
A really nice finishing touch for a traditionally styled build.

Haven't looked to see if any are available from the HAMB with the HAMB medallion. But I posted a link directly to Mike's (Sax Man) Liberty Speed Company website.
I'm pretty sure the hamb knobs are only ever available here, from Ryan.
Mike has some standard designs. For very little extra cost, he can make you a custom medallion.
He gets really busy with life sometimes, and may or may not be making any right now.

I bought one of the last series, I like it but I don't know if I will ever use it.

I wasn't happy not being able to select the number I got, I would have loved to get #26 for my 26 RPU but that wasn't an option.

    Kinda sad.

Maybe I should advertise it for big $ ;):D

We should start a thread to propose some number swaps for those who might be interested in a different number....

That would be a great idea however I did manage to find out who had knob #26 from the series I bought and tried to contact him.
No response so I guess he wasn't willing to trade. :( :D

  11. The last round of shift knob's I was hoping by some amazing stroke of luck I would get #32, that didn't happen but I did get #54. HRP

I still say we should have been able to chose our number on a first come first served basis.

@Ryan ( added this just so you might see the idea of possibly making it so that the number could be selected when ordering).

As I mentioned I would love to have been able to get #26 last time around.

Shift knobs are sold out according to the site.

  15. Send that suggestion to Ryan for next year... :)

I’m pretty sure he’s seen it before because I’ve mentioned the idea previously on another thread.

  17. Larry, It will be like the safe house key fobs. HRP

You checked into the local motel for nefarious reasons and as the man at the front desk handed you the keys, you noticed the key tag.

Yep. This motel is in the know... and you've found your safe house.

These key tags are available in red, ivory, or black. Art is embossed on front and back (lightening bolt) in gold. Each is sequentially numbered and availability is limited. Just like at your own local motel, you get the number you get... and you don't throw a fit.

Made and embossed at the same factory that has made these since the 1950's... And, of course, they are made in the USA.

  18. As long as he knows. Thanks, BigO

Better hurry up and get yours, the numbers are going up...#65 is the deadline, not HAMB friendly after that!

A key tags a little different than a shift knob :D

Personalizing little details on our rides is what most of us like.

Then again maybe it’s not so different :D because I’ve got an old fashioned leather key fob with a Y Block emblem for the key to my RPU.

I got mine yesterday and was surprised by the number I got, it was #32. Funny part is, I was just happy to get one and wasn't even worried about the number. Last year I requested #37 and got it, yeah me. I'm just happy to have one, when I didn't even notice them available until they were out for 5 days.
