This right here, this right here, this right here, is what the makers of Viagra were attempting to accomplish!!! I can't think of another thing that would work as well, for me anyways!!! I have ALL the parts to assemble this same engine, right down to the air cleaners. Simple and beautiful, and I don't care that there are better setups available now. One of these days.........................................I am Butch/56sedandelivery.

I believe that all the 318's, either the old poly wide blocks or the later LA blocks, had the distributor in the back LB. So this one might be a 361 or 383? Mopar had some other lesser known big block displacements like a 350 and maybe a few others. Great picture.

I thought it looked like that but that "wide block" was the caption.

Goal to make 350 look more traditional 327 sleeper in a 1964 Chevelle, 11-23-19.JPG Found out the raised rail Vortec heads with valve cover adapters have enough room to hide a stud girdle under the 327 valve covers.
Then drilled the summit Holley square bore Vortec intake for front oil fill tube and tapped a 3/8 hose nipple in rear for crankcase vent.
Made a smaller air cleaner base and K&N filter to fit a Holley and leaves about a 2" opening around the bottom of a stock lid for more air.

    Does this one count ?
While it IS big on the outside, it's only 259 inches on the inside ! Still not running yet, should be by early summer.

Here's one Butch56 & maybe loudbang should like. It's my '56 265 Power Pack with solid 097 cam. It runs so nice with the early Rochesters and progressive linkage that I'm not going to look for another 4 barrel with air cleaner (have one of each), linkage and snowflake manifold.
