Long time HAMB member, #101. I seldom post anymore. I lurk, and peruse the classifieds.

I have lost the early build pics. I had bought some 3x3 square tubing to build a carport, but my wife said no, and we got into a fight. I couldn’t return the cut steel so I decided to use it to build a T bucket.

    Here is the Carpor-T

It’s all British made stuff.

I had bought the engine in 2014, the intention was to build a sports car, but I couldn’t find a fiberglass body, I had this T body that I had bought years ago sitting around and in a moment of anger I decided to build this thing.

I am almost finished, just an interior and windshield away. This is 18 months work condensed into this post.

Because I wanted to keep the Brit theme going I made life hard on myself and made it right hand drive.

Sorry about the multiple pictures posts. I haven’t posted in years.

Anyway, because of the odd engine I used I had to make everything from scratch, motors c mounts, transmission mounts, headers, etc. 3FFB0AD3-6E6A-44AB-B74B-90D4E1E4EBC2.jpeg C527817F-2DB4-4540-BEC9-D527744C48CF.jpeg 41F5F46F-88CB-4A3D-BE1F-D41E7F2536A4.jpeg 9F171780-7A48-46CB-8B7C-D4B8B889912D.jpeg 3FFB0AD3-6E6A-44AB-B74B-90D4E1E4EBC2.jpeg

Lookin' good, Nads! This supplements for me some of the updates you've posted on FB and inspires me to keep shufflin' around my shop with my own builds.

Those are some nice looking headers that you made from that 3 x 3 tubing!

Just a caution, that front axle looks like the cast stuff the Chinese are putting out nowadays. Might want to consider switching it out before driving.

  12. It looks like you already have a carport.....??
Did your wife stop you from building a carport on your carport?

I like the lines of the bodywork. Its got 'swagger'.

WOW-it seems like years, Nads. Miss your stuff here. Last I remember you doing here was that one of a very few Caddys. Hope to see more stuff from you. Liked the grille even before the next pic of the Edsel insert. Keep it going, glad you posted.

It's always a happy surprise when someone introduces me to yet another manufacturers hemi that I was not aware of. That looks like a really sweet little motor, and I love the nose on the Carpor-T!

Great way to reuse! One more letter and you would have Le Sled for a name.

Right On! (steering wise) - do not think that you will be twisting that frame - liked the blue "carpet" - Father of a friend in High School had a Daimler with the "Baby Hemi" - we all loved it - that motor will have people scratching their heads trying to figure out which model Chrysler it came from

Heck, I'd switch out that China axle and take her for a ride!
