  1. A "Hotdog"? What? Corvair lines are perfect as they are! (proud owner of a '65) Some cars should be left alone. I'm sure guys who shortened their VW bus wish they could go back and undo what they did.

  2. Just for the heck of it here's a rendering I did awhile back .It may be blasphemous to a true Corvair aficionado but I think it would make a pretty cool project.

I cut up Madfish's green pic for an even dramatic shortening and wheel opening raising. It's different, not sure if it's a home run design or not, also I'm kind of a hack so it's not a very clean job. Did another with a sunken roof, just for the hell of it.

Just paint, no body work. No photoshop. This is a Corvair that was created by a guy in Europe. My point is you don't need to alter one of these cars to make it look cool.

  14. I have to agree with the shortened wheelbase idea. But i really I don´t know why they didn´t go for a roofline that looked more like the bubbletops they were making at the time.

I don't know. It's mighty big task. He's thinking of putting it on a custom 1 ton
    GMC chassis.

I personally like the 4 door style top better in these therefore I like the 4 door better.
I cant help but have the mentality to say, Its a corvair, who cares if its also a 4 door.
sorry but to me a 4 door in these especially, is more interesting.

  24. I always thought the later model Corvair's flowing lines were far better looking . Too bad Ralph Nader didn't feel the same way:(
