  3. I should have spent more time looking over your car at Bonneville. It certainly looked good in the short time I saw it. Congrats on the RJ coverage.

You are to be commended for finishing the work and going to Bonneville. It certainly looks fantastic on the salt. Good luck next year.

Sure hope you make it to El Mirage, it's only 3 weeks away. Would love to see it in person!

I gotta say, the louvers flanking the rear window are just TOO MUCH!

I'm on a self imposed exit from here but these pic's of this perfect work of art demands any red blooded lover of the 33/34 to offer up an exuberant, and strong well done.

  14. Extremely cool! Makes me want to re-do my coupe. My mind immediately went to the 40 chevy hood I have stashed..I've always wanted to do a straight-8 engined street car with a Bonneville look like yours. Beautiful!

Coupes are required to have fresh air intake, I have that coming in the roof scoop so I put the louvers at rear window so air could have somewhere to go and not build up inside the cab. They are not for decoration

At El Mirage, I thought I saw your car leave the start line around noon on Saturday but couldn't find your pit area after that, were you there?

I want to thank everyone for all the support here on the H.A.M.B. it’s been a long journey for my car but I stuck with it. And a special thanks to Rodders Journal for recognizing my car.

  25. From The Rodder's Journal issue #83 press release:

    TRJ #83 excerpt.jpg
Lucky Burton started building his Model A coupe for Bonneville 14 years ago. Then, in 2018,
things kicked into high gear. After a yearlong thrash he finished it just in time for 2019 Speed Week.
We have the full story, which is complemented by Tim Sutton’s dynamic photography out on the dry lakes.

no offense, but I have owned a half dozen '34 five windows and 20 or more '30 coupes...
this may had been brought up...
If you look close you will see that the blue car is a '30-'31 model A coupe with a '33-'34 w/s posts and header for aerodynamics... I think there was something about you needing 7" of glass and a lot of guys took advantage and chopped them even harder and tilted the w/s back...
over-under '40 deluxe hoods, '33 w/s nasty chop ….. always liked racers like the chrisman bros. cpe.?
