Harvey Crane Made His Dynamometer Available So Pete robinson could Validate The Theory That Cam Chain Stretch Was Retarding Timing And Exploding His Superchargers. For Proof, He Rigged Degree Wheels, A Strobe Light, And An 8mm Movie Camera To Record The Phenomenon.

Pete robinson is Wearing His Usual Smile. This photo Shows The 2 Inch Blower Drive (a 3 Inch Version Weighed A Few Pounds More, So He Rejected It) System That He Used For His Early ’Cammers. He Had No Belt Problems. But A Year Later, Blower Overdrive Dictated The 3 Inch Setup. The Cams In This Engine Were Still Chained Together.

In 1960, Phil Cartozian Was The Latest Owner Of A ’27 T Roadster “that Was Passed Around The San Fernando Valley For Years,” Remembers Greg Sharp. Prior Owners Included Dean Batchelor, Who Had The Bodywork Done By Valley Custom, And Don Prudhomme, Who Sprayed The Forest Green Lacquer Before Selling The Car—without Ever Driving It—to Support His New Dragster Habit.

We Love The Heavily Chromed, 392 Inch ’56 Buick Engine Built By Tommy Ivo. That’s A Weiand Drag Star Manifold Beneath The Stromberg Six Pack.

When I saw the two inline 4160 Holleys on the Y-block my first thought was how does that work? Then I noticed that the rear carb was turned around to make it fit. The fertile mind of Doane Spencer came up with that idea and the trick carb linkage to make it work.
Those water manifolds are pretty cool too.

Actually that's not a Stromberg Six Pack. If you count the tubes it looks to be Hillborn injection.
