Indeed. They are not always in ideal places. But the car itself looked great.

  6. Dan,..your photography is excellent and you have a real eye for cool cars;...if these pics don't get someone zoom'd up, they are in the wrong hobby!

Thanks a lo t @rusty1. It helps a lot when the event has as many cool cars as this one did.

    Thank you @rod1!

Hi everyone. This thread is nowhere near done, but I am going to be away from it for a little over a week. Please check in again a week from this Sunday when I will resume posting. Thanks so much for you patience and support.

You're very welcome @Henry Bennett - thank you. I am back from my week + long road trip so I will get this sucker up and running again. Hopefully some of you out there are still watching.

WoW! Love the chopped & channeled ivory '34 3 window. Especially the missing top door hinge & the original rear axle location. Like it was done 60 years ago!

  22. Well first, F &G & H/Gas were 6 cylinder or flathead classes, at one point. Gassers required a hood with flashing or scoop over the carbs, full fenders and all street equipment.
Cool car, but looks more like an early, part time street and drag car to me. It would have had to run an Altered class, possibly D ?
We built several tribute cars to promote our events, but tried to keep them accurate, as far as class designation.
Something about slapping an NHRA class on a street car, without researching it, bugs me..Better to not put anything on it, IMO

This is a pretty crappy picture, but I posted it anyway so you all could see the back of the very cool '57 Ford ragtop I posted above.

The engine on this '57 is a 327 from a later Corvette - I think it was from a '62
