Well, shes painted. I finally got around getting some color on this week. Set up a cheapy 10x20 wedding tent, exahust fan , filter intake and 8 led lights. Worked out pretty good, and i didnt die. I have a couple imperfections to work out but overall i am pleased with the outcome. All there us left is finishing it. .

Awesome idea on the spray booth. I may use that idea some time.

Only just found this build thread. The car is coming along great. I like that all the fab work shown in full detail. Right up my street.
Well if you had 3 people watching you now have 4. That's a 33.3% increase!

Thanks! I think i changed my mind 200 times when it came to picking the color for this car. It got to the point where my wife was yelling at me to just pick a damn color! Hardest decision i had to make during the build. Lol

I’ve been wanting to do a Ivoryish car for ever. I like the early VW and Porsche colors myself.

they have some great classy colors

  26. I have an O/T forever project that I painted the interior on 10 years ago. I’ve wish I hadn’t so many times cuz I would choose another color today. (Not the same color as last week or next week though.) I second the vote on vintage VW & Porsche colors, too.

I like the way you set up the lights.
I painted at night for less wind. But working shadows was tough.

Finally getting some time to start assembling everything on my roadster. I took the last few weeks to completely rewire and convert my 47 ford to 12 volt. To make it to the bayou roundup last weekend. Everything went great, drove it there and back, about 250 miles round trip. No issues. Now that thats behind me, time to focus on this roadster. I should be able to get it wired up and running for next week. Hopefully ill have a video for you. Heres a few updated pics

My 47 inside the blackham colosseum at the bayou roundup.

I have to repaint a headlight ring, then i can get both of them on the lights. Also stole a carb off the roadster for the 47. So i ordered another stromberg 97.
