    At the local drive in (Lates) about 1969 there was a yellow 40 or 41-48 Ford with the sides of the hood cut out,
    (similar to the area blacked out in this picture).
    Has any one seen this done or have pictures?

    I'm getting close to being done with the build phase of my 26 RPU.
    Rolled it out to change garage position to get it running and direct exhaust out the door.

    I have the hood but after I completed it

    Yes I intended to put the hood on when I finished but wanted to run it breaking in the engine but that was 17 years ago got to like it that way so I'm still driving it 1940 FORD 101902 003.jpg hinges and all.

  25. Fat fender cars without the hood look like they've had a run-in with an axe or plowed into the back of a semi. Totally disrupts the lines of the car.
