One of the things that makes a "Classic" is that it can stand the test of time. Your car certainly falls into that category. Congratulations!!

  2. Your car was a classic the moment it was done. It doesn’t have a bad angle. As @Torchie says, “it can stand the test of time”.

  3. Royalshifter...............what else can I say? That car is the best looking "shoebox" Ford I have ever seen. Being from Detroit, I have seen a lot. Perfect lines, perfect trim, perfect paint scheme. I cannot say enough good about it being my exact idea of the best custom look. I have never seen yours before now and am quite impressed as you can tell. Thanks for the photos.

I didn't see any car in the first photo. Glad you posted some of it afterwards....

  5. I honestly believe it is one of the best, if not the best custom's built in the last 20 years. HRP

We're stoked and humbled to have you in our Rotunda of Customs Skipper!
My mission with Customs by the Sea has always been to showcase period correct traditional customs. It takes a lot of work and dedication to build and maintain one. We have had over 100+ cars sign up, many nice cars, some of the best in the country, but there are very few built these days that are so period correct and well built as yours. Thanks a lot for signing up, and we look forward to seeing you in Santa Barbara :)

Skip's custom is truly a beautiful car.
So tastefully done that it is timeless.
    A historic custom, for sure.

  18. What a car!
Tasteful proportions, classic color scheme, perfect color choices, beautiful execution without the gooky, more is better, trend.
I could fall in love with this.

Said it when it was nearly finished, and will say it again: 'Timeless!'
To repeat a statement from 31 Dodger, "The BEST shoebox I've ever seen." So, me too.

Regarding your picture with the ladies, what car are you writing about? Just kidding, of course. Excellent Kustom.

Such a nice custom. Could be mistaken for a historic car. Truly timeless.

Period correct and timeless. The period correct is obvious but the timeless comes because there is nothing on the car that doesn't look right nor now dated. Not one part stands out and shows out making the rest of the car look like it's background and that is hard to carry off. It's a point that too many guys miss with the {"oh I gotta have___ because I think it is cool" rather than what blends in with the complete package.
I think one of the things I like best about it is that it isn't a prissy trailer queen that you only see on bright shiny days. If Skip says it will be at an event he has it at that event and doesn't make excuses because there are clouds in the sky. A lot of guys would have passed on taking a custom out to Pismo Beach that Saturday with the miserable cold rain coming down. IMG_1449.JPG IMG_1462.JPG
