  1. 48 Lincoln Cropped.jpg What's with all the 1948's?
Here is my 1948 Lincoln Continental. Apart right now but finishing up the install of a 390 FE with 3X2 intake and a 9" rear axle (4bar).
When I bought it in 1998 (we were both 50) it had a 1957 Caddy and a conversion BH to the OD Lincoln trans. In OD it would just coast so brakes were very important, BUT, the under the floor brake cylinder was right next to the exhaust pipe so the brake fluid would expand and lock the brakes up. As low as it is I'd have to jack up one of the wheels and crack a bleeder to get it rolling again. All will remedied with the rebuild.

My 55 is a year younger than I am, but it was assembled one week before my wife was born. The wife says she is not old, she is a classic.

When you were born in 1945 the choices are slim.

In 1996 I traded a '54 Cadillac Coupe DeVille on my '38 Buick. When I found the original purchase paperwork in the car I found that Captain Irving B. Bush took delivery of his new car a week before I was born.

My 57 so three years too new. 20160627_105056.jpg

I thought I wanted my grandmothers' 54 Chevy when she died but my cousin (girl) beat me to it, in a short time she messed it up. I guess she did me a favor because the 54 was never my favorite model of Chevy anyway.

I met a guy who was born in 63 who I sold a 63 olds f85 convertible. He said all he bought were 63's I thought he was weird plus he had rinestones on his jean jacket.
I said whatever man put the money in my hand.
