    Don't know if Jake had ever read this thread or if he is on the HAMB. If you are do you know who chopped the top on Stan VanAmburg's 26 coupe? I never thought to ask him when he was alive and was just wonderin…..

    I will tell you what kind of guy Jake is. A friend of mine from South Carolina took a photo of the coupe at the Auto Fair in Charlotte N.C. several years ago. My friend had planed to go to LARS, took an enlarged copy of the photo with him and ran into Jake, ask him if he knew the car. Jake said he did and wondered where it was at. Jake told my friend that VanAmburg was their mechanic go to guy. Jake said the top chop was so severe they thought no one would want the car. I bought it in '96 and still got it. Jake signed the photo for me and it hangs in my garage. He also sent me his phone #. I called him and we had a gud talk. He is a gud guy...……...

    Yes does I just saw Jake yesterday and talked to him about it. That sedan was my dad's daily driver to work for 30 years.
