Technical Mystery Bumper Identification Please!

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Benzine440, Oct 20, 2019.

  1. Actually found in a barn!
Bumper 1 looks like a 1932-1933-ish Plymouth. 64" wide. 3.5" tall. 32" center to center between the holes on the mounting brackets. Interesting bracket mounted center on rear for a light perhaps?

Bumper 2... has distinctive diamond shaped fasteners and should make identification easy but I'm drawing a blank. 5" wide. 4.5" tall. Mounting holes on bracket 2" apart. Has what might be a crank hole in center.

Bumper 1 has a strong resemblance to a '33 - '34 Chev Master, but that's a guess. I'll measure the '34 in the back yard when it warms up later.
Edit … Bad guess - not even close.

I have (from what I was told) a '31/'32 Plymouth rear bumper, that does look like #2, also, the front bumper from my '31/32 Dodge PU looks the same.

The 2 rail bumper is a '30 Chevy. edit: the picture from ebay didn't show.

  6. Redo,

Thanks for the hint. It's actually a 1929 Chevrolet. 1929 has the diamond shaped whatz-its. 1929-Chevy-Phaeton-7-768x513.jpg
