    Thank you!

To chop, or not to chop. That is the question.

If that is the question, I say no. I mean after, all your building a 59 hardtop elcamino!

  4. Never saw this build before but I looked at your posts after reading a comment from you elsewhere.
This is really cool- I like it a lot. Hope it's coming along ---

Going to get the frame swapped in 2 weeks and start welding the body together. I've been bouncing between the merc and the 59. This summer it's the 59!

Wasn't able to do the frame swap yet but got a front seat and got the steering column in so it steers again. Body is unbolted but I'm thinking of stripping the firewall and painting it before I swap it then at least the engine doesn't have to come out. [IMG][IMG]

I am down to one and lots of parts. Years ago I had 10 elcaminos, 3 wagons and a 4 door hardtop. A rusted out 60 Buick convert and a 60 Pontiac convertible.

Nothing yet. Building an addition on the house, so the car projects have to wait....

This is Slick! When this is done, there's going to be a lot of head shakin' going on. I'm in.

  16. It's encouraging to know I'm not the only one making progress on the house but none on the cars. :)

It was. Got broken pushrods, stuck valves, and rocker studs pulling out of the heads.

Well, I ended up getting back the back half of my original elcamino I drove in high school. The guy that got it 10 years ago ended up not using it for his project.

This will make the project go smoother and I will have most of my original car back!

Cool! What happened to the front half/rest of the car?

  23. 59 El Caminos are one of the best looking Chevys, and massive yet subtle modifications are my fave-o-rite kind. So this is gonna be good!

It’s been slowly moving. Got a house project that I am working on that needs to be finished. Then I get to work on the cars.

    This was my old elcamino when I sold it. IMG_7326.JPG IMG_7325.JPG IMG_7324.JPG IMG_7323.JPG IMG_7322.JPG IMG_7328.JPG IMG_7327.JPG
A 59 elcamino frame, front end, doors and seating area, 60 pontiac convertible, and a 59 2 door sedan back skin to make the Chevy.
