Looking for any info, literature, pictures, ads or parts for my Barnes pump in pan dry sump system. Going to give it a try. Any advise is welcomed :)
    Thanks!

have a complete Barnes in pan dry sump setup under the bench!Popular in sprints for a while-If I remember the internals were Mopar parts.Down sides were with only one scavenge side some times they had trouble keeping up,pan would tend to fill up.Also helped to drain pan before races as some oil would gravity feed down to the pan when sitting for a few days.In the sprint cars that had rear drive fuel and power steering pumps[cam driven]you already had a lot of stuff driving off the cam

Called Barnes a few weeks back. They have nothing left regarding pump in pan system. They have no rebuild parts or kits and suprisingly they dont even have old literature or instructions. I signed on to this board because it has the best resources in my opinion.
    I appreciate the replies

71Mike, I'll check out some of my old circle track magazines and see if I can find anything for you.

These two images from the Oct., ‘86 Circle Track are all the Barnes info that was in a wet and dry sump article. What is notable is the pump drive with it’s hex end, should be easy to make if you don’t have one.
I have more C-T mags, I’ll be looking at more soon.

BITD Bud Lang was one of many great writers employed by Petersen Publishing, I doubt there was ever a more comprehensive article written on the Barnes in the pan dry sump pump.

Don't see why not, Ford did it on their big blocks in the 60's with their own design.
