The Chrysler Norseman. Designed in Virgil Exner’s studio and built by Ghia in 1956, the show car featured a Hemi and an A-pillarless cantilevered roof.

I'm assuming this is a Ranger engine in this sprint car. Any details on the first attached shot?

And the second shot looks to have been taken at Winchester, Indiana; probably around 1930.

    Thanks.

Yes it is a Ranger sprint car, and I assume it its probably on a shakedown run less body work. It was driven (and I assume owned) by Dave Cooper a long time and somewhat of a legend in the PNW/B.C. area.

What would one family do with 5 new cars. Things were not that good in '58 financially.
