Haha. Yeah, the yellow roadster is mine, or was, it really doesn’t exist anymore in that configuration. It was a real low buck glass bodied build, just a hiboy model a with a sbc and a 3-speed....kinda homogenized, so I grew tired of it and discarded it, haha

Inspired is fine...it's what you do with it that matters...its all about looking like the good Ole Days...the fun radiates from there...;)

  16. They don't look capped. I have seen then aimed right at the tires before and not very far away. the fender loks like the front of it stops at the buddy line and the lack of splash aprons(side aprons?) is a neat trick.

IMG-0637.jpg IMG-0549.jpg IMG-0547.jpg Thanks @Stogy ! Here are recent pics of the Burk Speedster pretty much finished (he has a grill shell that my buddy built, but has decided to run without it) as well as a recent pic of of the Burk Roadster.

The Speedster is a completely custom and handbuilt body. The heads on the Roadster he completely machined in his shop. On his Copper Coupe (I will try to dig up a picture) he has the same heads, in addition to mechanical fuel injection he built from scratch.

I remember this car from the east coast little mags around 59 or 60. If I'm remembering correctly it was Caddy powered, welded doors and trunk with 54 Ford tail lights

Wow. Incredible. I'm glad I won't be the first to run a flathead with no rad up front. Anymore info on those two builds would be much appreciated.

@cmarcus thanks for sharing these works of Hotrod inspiration...

Would you please select Full Image versus Thumbnail (I actually think you loaded the pics without either choice)...I don't want anyone to miss the details...the beauty here at the Hamb is we can forever edit our posts...if you are unsure how I can do it but I will ask first...

I don't find much material on Dave Burk on the web...I'm suspecting he just does Cool things without all the Lights and Cameras...and I get that too, but these are nice teasers...;)

    Done and done!

Yes, just a pretty chill dude who has his 4 cars packed in an unassuming 2 stall garage in the Chicago Suburbs. No clubs, no big hoopla, just him doing something he loves and gets a kick out of. Shows up to local cruise nights about 3 hours before they start to park and eat a sub sandwich.

I think @cmarcus has a closer handle on Dave's Contributions and Inspiration of Hotrod and perhaps can channel his innovative vintage inspirations this way...I don't think there is any build threads per say...

    I don't even believe he's a Hamber...

Recognition threads but yeah @cmarcus if you can bring any Hamb Friendly creations this ways we're ready and on board...thanks very much and give Dave a big thanks and thumbs up from us for keeping The Inspiration of Vintage Hotrod Alive...;)

340Hilborn, I'm pretty sure if you search here on the HAMB you'll find a thread about Scott fuel injectors which were based on Stromberg bases and look just like those injectors. Those two cars are amazing.
