I have a corvette confession! Lol. I like stock corvettes! I think they are just a beautiful car. With that being said early gasser corvettes are not favorite (stock and m/p yes just not gasser) but an early corvette vette set up for turns to me just looks like the ultimate drive home from work car!!!!!

That's crazy. Why would anyone put a Ford top loader into anything besides a Ford chassis? I could see using a Cad or Buick 3spd, but not the Ford. Are you sure that Stovebolt made it's way back into a Vette?

  10. first couple years they had stovebolts with PGs. Supposedly the new 265s with optional 3spd manual showed up as Chevy used up the remaining 235s and PGs
    not the best performance combo
the story on this one is the owner got tired of being beat by a friend with a T-bird

  12. I bet it handled the 150hp of the stovebolt
I will say that Im impressed the stovevolt and PG held its own with the V8 bird

There were very few 1955 Corvettes built with the inline Blue Flame six engines. 1955 being the first year for the 265 V8 the vast majority of the 700 Corvettes built for that model year were V8s . There were also a few 3 speed manual transmission cars produced.

That's a lot of sadness. Makes you want to go out to the garage and tell yours that you love it.

The owner of the shop has a couple of vettes. This was sitting on his tool box.

15, I understand. A fella in an apartment I lived in in the late '60's had one. I asked him one time, if he were to sell it, what would he want? He sneered at me & said "You couldn't afford it, boy, $2,700." I guess he was right. My rent was $60. Everything was & still is relative.

Dammit Enloe, how are we gonna enjoy seeing that neat Corvette if you're always deleting your photos!:(
Maybe there's a camera lens filter for removing just the late models!;)
