I’ve had my hands full with other stuff this week but I have managed to get my fuel tank and steering column all mocked/mounted.

I’m hoping to get a few more holes drilled and then start taking the body back off for paint! Going with Toyota Bronze Mica Pearl.

I’ve been trying to get everything tore back down and wrapping up small odds and ends.

The biggest thing is that the body is at the bodyshop and is in the first stages of primer.

Front seat is all completed, work was done by Coverall in Martinsville, IN. Car will go back for interior panels after it’s completed.

That colour should pop when outside in the sun, very subtle and not your average 28 on 32 rails. I can't wait to see it painted and assembled.

I finally got my hands on a set of Gear Drive headers. Sooooo nice. A lot of stuff on the engine is still in ‘mock-up’ so don’t judge my zipties on plug wires, etc.

LOL, you know I should probably launch an investigation into this while my grandma is still around.

I feel like a mink coat fits her just as well as it does a pimp so I would only assume that the answer is “Yes”.

It’s a new start up company doing small batch vintage parts.

It looks like they do most of their business advertising on Instagram under the username @granitecasting

The painter was able to get some paint on the bottom of the car yesterday. Hopefully we will move onto the top later this week! I really like how the sun hits this color, it’s Toyota’s Sunset Bronze Mica.

Hey guys, thanks for all of the positive feedback - it means a lot. The painter want able to get the body finished up on Friday. I hope to pick it up and have it back on the chassis next week. We have decided to buy a new home, along with an infant and a 2 year old; so hopefully I can keep moving forward at this pace until it’s finished. I keep telling my wife it will be easier to move if it’s all in one piece.

Wow, I'd think buying a house and two kids all at the same time will really put a kink in your car building budget.

I took my chassis up to the body shop this morning and we mounted the body on it. I have to say, I absolutely love the color and the way it looks with the black chassis. Cooper’s in Indianapolis did a fantastic job.

I probably should wait and post a great photo when I get it assembled back together but you know what.....F it. Here are a few cell phone shots from earlier.

So, here are those fancy photos that I’m known for posting. I got the body all bolted up last evening, was able to do some small stuff like floorboard, brake pedal, taillights and just twerking some panels and bolts a little. My next few days are going to be hectic so not sure I’ll make it back out to the garage before next weekend. But, Im ready to get this thing together!
