Its got a leak in the middle of the Radiator close to the top. I don't mind going away from factory. I built a Pontiac 461 for mine. What did you get to replace yours?

I needed both inlet and out on the same side. You will probably want more than the factory.

This is the one i used, i used the sides from the old radiator to make a frame to still bolt in. Than slides out the top if i need to remove it. Ill have to double check size but should be it.

Please put some bolts or old spark plugs in those spark plug holes. One time I dropped a small washer in a spark plug hole and ruined that engine. It was a 66 389 too.. It was a super rare four barrel 389, not your run of the mill tri power that everybody has today..

    Looks fantastic!!

Going to weld tabs on radiator to connect to upper braces (which aren't there yet).

Mostly just for my record. Fuel lines in. The ignition stuff will be here this week. Got lucky on top radiator hose. A 64 Tempest hose fit perfect. Luckily the guys at Advance Auto Parts know us and allowed us to sort through lower hoses. After a couple misses and some trimming we got that also.

Something minor had bothered me......my steering Drag link was pretty good but I knew that if I could have put it in from the top it would be almost perfectly level but the taper on the steering arm was on wrong side. I could have welded and re-tapered but we cut the end off and flipped it over. As close to perfectly level as you could want.

WOW, both are super and I would take you up on the offer just to have them. (I kinda really want to run the plain valve covers) but if ratrod can use them, I'll let him buy them. If not, I'll send you the money just to have them around for later.

    LMK.

Give me a zip and ill figure the shipping and they are yours.( you guys can figure out what to do with them after you get them) May take a few days but ill get them there.I didnt know that there were several height variations of these valve covers - live and learn lol. rather see someone get use of them than sit and we are trying to stream line all of our stuff to one powerplant line- if we bust on / we can rob from the other- in a tight.
The water pump block off plate was for a 400 base combo pontiac that Mick built years and years ago. Was hilborn injected -on alky so no water pump etc needed. ( we made intake plates and cut a SBC unit up and bolted them on.( as mick said) it was laying around and nobody was running a SBC in the shop at that time.
Again give me a zip/address and ill get a figure for shipping and they are yours.
