Yes it is. I think that might be Lions, Norm and Gary Dyer towed out west after the local racers said "No way!' to the reported 8.60's that Dyer was running. Norm and Gary had the last laugh.

I picked this photo up years ago, I believe it shows the first centrifugal supercharger that was used on a 1907 Chadwick. Lee Chadwick designed and built this, and another later three stage supercharger for his cars.
The first blower, and maybe the three stage too, was mounted above the flywheel and driven with a flat, leather belt. Chadwick was one of, if not the first to supercharge an automobile.

Here is a picture of a Gregg Supercharger mounted sidewinder style, chain driven, sucking through a 2 inch barrel valve Winfield pressurizing a single overhead cammed SR Fronty Ford in my 88 inch Indian Gas car. Early stuff!

Thanks... :D . Love me some Fronty's. Rad n shell looks like the one Fronty offered in a "kit". Was looking at the axle placement(s), couldn't tell iffen they were offset to one side, or centered. ? I do like that you kept the orig look on the sheetmetal, showing all the bumps n bruises from orig build n racing. Not all were hand-finished to perfection. Didn't remember Gregg, but recognized Green. Names long forgotten, but very cool n ingenious hi-po equipt. Have you posted on the NWspeedsters site (I think that's correct). Would love to see as many detailed pics as possible, that style car + the 2-man board trackers, are my favorite. Somewhere in my files, I've got a dirt-track spl newletter collection. If I can find the time, I'll try to wade thru them & see if a SR Fronty sprinter from Chicago is mentioned somewhere. Doesn't ring a bell, as most of the newsletters were devoted to the east coast (Pennsylvania area) n some Calif area.

Yep, RO34. It's located in Australia, and has changed hands a few times over the years. It has had a long time sleeping under various people's work benchs without getting onto a motor. Every owner posts new photos of the same machine. The three injectors located on it are Carburettor Service Company low-pressure injectors, Aussie built in the 60's.

For Aussie built superchargers, we can add Norman sliding vane units (both the early machines built by Eldred Norman in the 60's and the O/T machines built by his son Mike in the 80's), Wray sliding vane units, Ekins superchargers (based off Marshall blowers). Some HMP Booster units (tiny sliding vane units for motorcycles) and many Sprintex (twin screw) units were also built locally in the 90's.

    Cheers,
    Harv

The prototype Blower Bentley used a Power Plus (racing MGs used that brand as well.) It wasn't successful, so they went to a Villiers supercharger. There was never a Bentley-made supercharger, W.O. Bentley was opposed to them.
    Here's a PowerPlus:
    upload_2019-10-2_18-46-42.jpeg
The pic is from an evaluation done by NASA's predecessor.
There was a different Power Plus supercharger built in the '90s, but it is not related.
