I'm finding the torque specs for steel heads, but not aluminum for my 1952 Ford flathead.

Can someone tell me the specs please? Offenhauser heads, composite gasket.

    thanks,
    Carl

I have Weiand Heads and copper gaskets, I torque 40 LBS. My torque sequence is to start at one end and go up and down all the way across at 10lb increments. Then re torque after cool down 2 times. Pete

I believe that MOST sources recommend start the torque pattern in the center of the head and move out in a circular pattern(as per MOTORS MANUAL, CHILTONS, etc!!)

This is what I've always done. Start in the center and circle out to the ends.
