Took my Merc in for it's annual N.Y.S. Inspection. The garage is an old gas station from the art deco era. It was a Quaker State station once apon a time. Showing it's age but still active. Thought I'd snap a few shots and share them with you guys. [and dolls]. Ned 20190919_133211.jpg 20190919_134323.jpg

That top chop is beautiful, Ned...All the trim, gutters, every detail.
Didn't New York inspector 'ding you' for the flamethrowers?

That's very cool that you have an old school place to take it to that gets it. Not to mention, you're keeping it traditional. I love how that red really pops in the sun. It just sets off the entire car. Very well done.

Ned, where did the center piece in your grille come from?
(J.C. Whitney used to sell those, but haven't seen them since. Mystery source?)

It's actually pieces from another grille I fitted in . I didn't cut a whole grille but bought two small pieces, left and right, of a grille at a swap meet, just for that trick. Still have enough to do another one. Didn't know J.C.W. had them but doesn't surprise me. They sold a lot of cool stuff. Thanks for asking. Ned
