  10. My friend Paul McKelly's (RIP) 41 Chevy from Hayward CA.. It had a hot 302 Jimmy in it. He later painted it black. It's still around, but in hiding. It hasn't been seen in 30 years. I have a picture of it on my shop wall at Fremont Drag strip in the late 70's early 80's. Later known as Baylands. Paul passed away while driving his 49 Caddy Fastback down east 14th st. in Hayward.

  23. I was born in '63 and was noticing cars by the time I was 5-6 years old. Probably my most solid memories of cars from those years were the vibrantly colored, bass-boat metalflake paint jobs from that time, so some of these pictures really strike a nerve with me...

    I graduated high school in '63. Many of these pictures remind me of the difference between the cars we drove to the car shows and the cars we drove there to see. Two almost completely separate styles with a few covering some middle ground.
