I just posted a thread and it was deleted? And not even a reason why? Would to know why so such things will not get posted again
Looked at your post profile and didn't see anything like that. Sure you hit send? I've typed them up and never hit enter and wondered why I didn't see one until later. SPark
The moderators are fickle. I posted about efi stack injection and had around twenty positive replies in one day. The next day it was deleted. A week later someone posted almost an identical post and last I looked , it was still going. No rhyme or reason. It's their sandbox, I'm. Just here to play.
I saw and replied to the thread, I thought the axle was scary. I have had many threads deleted, sometimes you will get a PM with a reason ,sometimes you don't, the moderators are just doing their job, some things get flagged and are gone in a hurry, other times a similar post will slip under the radar and run for months, if not years. Don't take it personally. HRP
I'm not fickle. I'm busy. I do try to send pms when something is obviously foul of our rules/constraints, but sometimes I'm at my kid's softball game, on my phone, and don't have the facilities to send a quick note. But I justify that in my own head by knowing most guys posting obviously off topic stuff didn't take the time to read our rules or see what we are about... so we are even steven, no hard feelings, all good...
Yesterday I put a picture of my wife and I working on my 65 mustang fastback back in 1986 because it was our 29th wedding anniversary and it was deleted. But I also attached 2 full pictures of the mustang in all its glory- which in hindsight was really pushing it! I think the moderator was right for pulling it down - sometimes we get a little to nostalgic and just want to share. I would still like to put up the picture of us working on the car as the mustang is only in the background and I don’t have a shirt on- so you guys could have a field day!
4. We cover traditional '65 and older American cars only. All other threads will be deleted. We don't cover rat rods, muscle cars, mustangs, or VWs. https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/the-h-a-m-b-rules-guidelines.44274/
I think the shed thread.... might have been our fault it lasted a week? But yeah it was strange thread. The shed looked pre 1965 maybe 1945?
no mustangs at all of any year. per the rules. No the mods don't look at every single thread for rule violations. we rely on people reporting off topic posts mostly. keep in mind there are something like 300,000 members and there less than a dozen mods.....
The moderators will stand tall. I had a thread deleted a couple years. I questioned why and the thread was put back.
