Does this one have the teardrop hood scoop, it seems to have a lot of patina.
Unless I'm as blind as I really am they don't look like the same car, the number 347 car looks fresh.

 

LA traffic is next level. I have no idea how you guys deal with that kind of frustration.

 

the car's owner is Christian and he's from South Carolina. I've followed his build of the Comet on another forum.

You are correct, it's not the same car. There is no exhaust coming out of that teardrop hood.

 

Hamb drags just got a shout out on youtube, sticker on rear window of Tony McDonald's 37 Dodge truck at Drag Week.

 

As much as that turbo exhaust stood out I didn't think I needed to go into too much detail.
Figured Jim was plenty busy!

 

Jim's just out on a Sunday drive.

 

Jim just ran a 9.89 damm near beat finningans 55 hemi powered chevy.

 

Note to self, don't get in a poker game w/Squirrel...

I knew that car had it in it, way to go Jim.
By the way, the tube chassis under Blasphemi was built in my friends' shop.

 

I think Jim car is certified for 10.00 seconds. He came back with a 10.08. I assume that will be his timed run for Friday.

The 55 has over a 100 cube advantage over Jims Nova. and I assume a great more amount of cash spent on it.

 

I think Jim himself is certified for 10 seconds. The car can go faster than that.

 

It's good that they let Jim make another pass without a certed chassis.

 

Congrats to all the finishers! I sure regret not being there.

Squirrel got his NHRA licence to go 8.50 last year, in anticipation of the capabilities of Almost Funny. I am pretty sure that Almost Funny is legal to 8.50 as well. But plan 2 does not have the chassis cert to to go sub 10.00.

 

Congratulations to all. Bailey just made a statement to end the event by running a 5.99!

Thanks for the pics! Had a couple good runs today, I guess the air is better than I thought. Pulled the front wheels a ways, I knew I was in for a ride.

Bailey's run was sure fun to watch it looked slow since it was so perfect. The score board said it all

I saw Bailey's brake lights come on twice around the 1000ft mark. Its insane.

Jim your 9 second pass was exciting to watch. What is plan II's best time ever?

My car worked just fine. I made a minor throttle linkage adjustment the first day, and looked at 4 of the plugs tonight. Checked the timing a few times. Pretty much maintenance free. 940 miles.

Does anyone have a time stamp when Jim raced Finnegan? Or of Bailey 'a 5 sec pass. I watched the rain delay all day, then had to leave it when they started again.
