    We have two,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
    They have been shown a number of time here.
    A gentleman imported a number of them a couple of years ago and found out that Yanks like Ute's but don't really buy them.

    I think utes were the biggest MISS in the auto industry for the USA. They have style and utility. They made a weak attempt in the 50's and 60's but missed out on the class of the 30's and 40's.

    I am interested in utes because I had a '61 Ranchero. The similar year ute looks a bit strange because Australian ones use the front doors from a 4 door. I really like the Argentina version. They built it up to the early 90's.

  24. Not a ute, a pickup with a separate bed. Custom as you say, with the roof cut off and a car front added.

    I sold a very bare 39 std ute body to a chap in the US a few years ago, who was going to use a sedan to complete it.
    I wonder how he went...
