Paper work. Planned to travel with Matt with the 41 Pontiac, he has an oil leak after fixing the timing chain. We have not left the track yet. Sent from my Trimline
You'll be driving right through my old home town of Bowie MD. Leaving after rush hour may be a good idea
X2 WTOP (FM 103.3 and WTOP.com) provides real-time Washington DC-area weather & traffic every 10 minutes on the 8's.
Made a good pass got out early what a drive with traffic. I have no idea how a promod car makes it driving. There are alot of good people doing this. Tony Sent from my SM-G930V using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
We were nice and late, no traffic. Got to our room at 2 am. Matt got his leak fixed. Sent from my Trimline
McMopar that drive sucks on a normal day. I worked at a ford dealership in MD on 301 and had to go straight north on 301 10 miles to get home. A normal drive was 35-45 minutes. I hate visiting family in the area because of traffic
If you are in need of garage space after your run at MIR on Thursday, have A.C. and a concrete floor. Only two miles off 301. About thirty miles south of MIR.
I've felt your pain. Have you ever been in Chicago around 5:00? A 60 mile commute took me around 3 1/2 hours. Sent from my SM-G960U using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Four years ago the drive from st.louis took us through Chicago. We went around o'hare then out to the west suburbs. Of course this was rush hour. We worked our way out to lake Geneva for a photo stop. The Chrysler 300 got its rt front headlight frenched in. One of the cars in our group over heated. We left the track by noon and didn't arrive at our hotel until 10pm. That was fun. Anyone that says these cars are not street cars doesn't know better. To pull off this event they have to be able to handle all conditions. Comfort that's another story.
Lucky any major city has its share. I saw today's drive was less than 200 miles so hopefully the competitors get some rest before Atco
Sure sucks for the swedish guys. Last year their car got caught up in customs causing them to miss the event. This year they crashed it.
Yeah brian it does but thanks to the safety rules he walked away the car can be fixed as you well know lol sure miss seeing your car this year speaking of repairs how’s the Bruno coming along Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
5:50 am wake up call this morning, a loud car trying to get started outside the window...perfect timing, ten minutes before my alarm was set to. We visited Matt's son's family last night, had a good time, and are fresh and ready for another day. Hope to be able to leave a little bit later in the day today, catch some more time at the race enjoying the fun.
