There are a lot of retro-advertisement photo-shop fakes out there these days. Don't get me wrong, there plenty of genuine ridiculous stuff sold back then too, but I gotta wonder about that one. Is it legit?

Believe it or not I had a problem with ants colonizing my OT truck. I was on vacation and didn't use it for a while. Fuse box, behind the dash etc., major pain in the ass. A little Dot 3 insecticide on the wheels could of saved me some grief.
One of the things that really surprises me is how "we" have to re-learn things over and over. The hard way. 100 years ago, give or take, OEMs spent quite a lot of time in research starving rodents and other vermin and seeing what kinds of wiring insulation was preferred. They will eat almost anything. Wax from candles, for example, or, soap, is made from fat. It provides energy. So they eat it. They added chemicals to make wiring insulation less palatable, among other things. In recent years they made a big deal out of using Soy, meaning soybeans, to make wiring insulation, in lieu of plastic. My first thought was "You can't be that stupid". And sure enough, there are lots of field reports of critters snacking on main wiring harness in modern vehicles. This is really expensive to get repaired as you might imagine. Who could have known, "mistakes were made", yadda yadda. Oh well...
That sounds like someone never heard the old adage, " Those who don't know history are doomed to repeat it!"
How about an idea inserted in an ad that the company didn't notice but everyone else did. Second one is the store display. That's right Santa poking a reindeer and if you look in front of the deer's nose you can see where they spelled out SEX. The X being the nose and neck out line. The 2 litre bottle had a bunch of reindeer on it but only the one in front of Santa had bugged out eyes. OT I know but damn that's funny.
Ummmm yeah a personal Auger for your well..... nope Pedestrian catcher !! Don’t stop n slow down but save the fenders !!! And a newer invention but a most noble WTF where you thinking !!
I had wheel ants a few years ago. In a stack of old tires on vintage rims behind the shed. Lost the tires, kept the rims, no more wheel ants! Seriously though, odorous house ants will get into any space they can nest in. I had them in one of my cars under the rubber floor mat. Terro liquid ant bait works well.
