The 2019 Billetproof Hot Rod Eruption Drags is almost here. This coming Sunday, August the 25th, it's goin' down! I'll try to post some pictures on here the day of the event. Don't miss the sickest, nostalgia style, heads up drag racing that the Pacific Northwest has to offer.

Cool. I'd have to take my little tent or get up at 0 dark thirty todo the 179 mile road trip though.

I made it home after taking the back way out and stopping at 4 yard sales and for a steak dinner and Irish Death at the tavern at Packwood.
I got the 514 photos I took uploaded to the laptop and played with a few.
That is one fun event Dummy Me forgot his lawn chair and had to stand up all day though.
That little F 100 is on hard running truck that made great passes all day long.
Outside of the Anglea that was pulling hard at the finish line the rest were shot as they returned back up the strip in groups.

OBTW who was on the Hamb on his tablet about half way down the track as I as taking photos next to him? At least I thought it was the Hamb. That was some time between 11 and 12 but after I took the photos I left on a mission to find one of those little blue buildings without a line in front of it.

Oni a pure noise level an not good to some ears at the finish line this blown 292 was in a world of it's own. I think the kids on the dirt bikes on the dirt bike tracks stopped and paid homage when it ran. pretty fast too.
I don't remember seeing the Nova with the smaller six and 2 4's run.
Nor the T coupe with the Turbo on a smaller six. Smaller meaning 194, 230 or 250 rather than 292 even though it had a 292 sticker.
The truck and coupe looked a bit rat rod from a distance but were as well built as anything out there and were far more unfinished than rat rod. No money for shiny paint when you can spend it on horsepower and a serious chassis. IMG_8040.JPG IMG_8036.JPG IMG_8043.JPG IMG_8048.JPG IMG_8047.JPG IMG_8048.JPG

Catching the cars when they returned down the track from the other end gave me the best shots of just the cars without a bunch of clutter in the background. The digger was a handful off the line. gu
The Willys had what looked like a driveshaft problem.
If you know the guy in the high rise Dodge he might want a copy of the photo as that was the only time I saw him go down the track in the lead. Ton of fun and a whole lot of nice folks. Took the day off work, got to get busy unloading truck and trailer. I'll post some stuff over the next day or two.

  29. looks like an awesome event. I think my 33 pickup is going to have to come out of racing retirement next year.

I caught the B&C sedan on the return lane and got a snap of it sitting on the line after the yellow coupe had a disaster in the left lane that used up a bunch of oil dry. I missed the pass because I had walked back to the car for a few minutes. IMG_7913 (2).JPG IMG_7908.JPG
