Great pics! Thanks as always, Dan. I enjoy your photos. I was tromping around down there but missed you. Will you be at Central City?

Dan, no problem always love to share the true Bonneville experience with other photographers. As you see, Bonneville has really sucked us in. We have to fight shooting, selling and racing urges.
Sorry we never got to actually meet, but as you know, Bonneville is a BIG AREA to cover.
Next year, no racing,,,,, yea right

Thank you Grady (@Jet96). I will definitely be at the Hill Climb. What car will you be bringing I often find it easier to spot cars than the people who own them. I look forward to actually meeting you Tony. (@typo41). Again- THANKS.

I was on my way out Sunday evening looking for targets of opportunity when I saw this cool and unique roadster way off by itself. Of course, I drove over and started taking pictures. A few minutes later the owner walked up. His name was Ralph Arista and we started discussing his car. Turned out, this car was actually built in 1948 and Ralph acquired it from the son of the person who built it in the early 90's. I believe he added the 37 LaSalle grill. He wished that the car had a more period correct engine. It currently has a flathead that is newer than 1948. I should have said hold that thought and run and fetched my note pad because he told me a lot about the history of the car. I may have retold some of that incorrectly here, but I think I got it right. Bottom line: Very, very cool car that was built in 1948 and is still out there running around.

Thank you for posting these beautiful pictures. All these machines are pretty awesome . It breaks my heart to see them covered in salt.

You're very welcome @Pats55. Don't let it cause you any worry. These guys seem to enjoy getting the salt on their cars and they are very thoroughly cleaned after the event, so no actual lasting damage.

I like this because in B&W it kind of looks like this A is running around on a beach with the ocean nearby.

Very nice pics. You should do something with that talent. :)

Speed week is a trip on my bucket list for me and my son. Someday, we will fly from Europe to see that speed sensation.

I sure hope you and your son get to do that @Caprice89. There are definitely quite a few people from all over. I didn't run into anyone from the Netherlands, but that doesn't mean there weren't any. It's a big place.
