Must get a Hula-Girl or a Surfer on a board riding that back and forth cable motion. I can think of 'blue' scenarios with the back and forth motion as well but that's just an active imagination.

Stellar trip Jim! Thanks soooo much for documenting the trip, timeless and priceless memories!

Another fine adventure and topped off with a Win! Treat her to an oil change and a shower. Thanks, Carp.

Jim put more miles on the Hudson (using points) than the average driver of our cars drives them in a year. Should be referenced with any more posts about upgrading from points to electronic ign.

I guess I should look at the points, if only for entertainment.

It's just amazing how far you can drive a car with parts that aren't perfect

I gave the car a well earned bath tonight.

I'd say considering how well it served you, you should take it out to dinner!

I don't know...the paint is pretty bad, I doubt it would buff up much. And there's mostly just primer on the hood and roof, along with the rust spots, not much you can do with them.

That's that much sought after "patina" that's all the rage...maybe you should clear coat it...snark

  20. Mop N Glo. Good enough for matte' finish combat jets, good enough for you. Even white letter painted the letters in ... on the jet Firestone tires.

    Mop N Glo washes off ... ... ... ... ... ... ... eventually. Cheers.

Did you have to repack the wheel bearings, or did you change them over to the new style.

Not sure what "new style" means, the Hudson uses normal tapered wheel bearings. I just packed them when I worked on the brakes, no problems at all. And I still use ball bearings in the older GM cars that came with them, they work fine, just as they did decades ago.

The first time I saw that set up was years ago on an old Hudson my cousin had. He laughed at me when I asked him who in the hell rigged that set up:confused: I guess I wasn't too bright when I was a kid:(
