Bruce, We're all having fun spending your money & some that you don't have! Seriously from personal experience, if needed a small loan can make a huge difference in a future purchase. My credit union has helped me with more than 1 and I've never been sorry. Good Luck! Hope you find something hamb friendly so we can continue to give you more ideas, affordable or not! Good Luck!!

From your previous post I almost didn't post it because of the manual trans. It list the car as salvage but the title as clean.

  8. Bruce, that 58 wagon does sound like it could be a good deal. I had a 58 delivery with the the 235 6 cylinder. It was very dependable, cheap, and easy to work on. Looking at the body, chrome, glass, and the top of the head light brows. It looks, a least from the picture to be in pretty good shape. But you won't know without looking at it in person. {Hay}, just a little road trip on I-40 East. This is what I sound like when I'm trying to talk my wife into letting me drag home another old car! Lol good luck. Ron....

A salvage title is something to be concerned about with a modern driver. I really don't think it has any affect on the value of an old car unless you were going to restore it to a 60K ride.

I mean look at Model A's, etc...

Salvage title is not a problem in Mo. You have to take it too a state patrol inspection station when your done building it with all the receipt for the parts to fix it. Then take the paperwork to the license bureau.
It will always be branded as a salvage vehicle, that can hurt resale, but not getting tags for it.

    Bruce,
Still a lot of real estate between this and you but well within your price range and it doesn't seem to be a total wreck.

That would be a nice ride there. Gonna go back and look at the pics to see how rusty it is, but being from Montana, it could be in excellent shape underneath. SBF, C4 or AOD and that would be pretty cool. For a wagon :)

  16. I found a 64 ford wagon and he wanted $6,500 but told him my new liment was $5,000.He said it had a clear title but the headlight, and wipers didn't work and need a complete interior. I was going to check it out but found out he was 4 hours away., that would be s total of a 8 hour drive. That would leave me no $$$ for a transporter either, so I will keep on looking. Bruce.

It looks like a dart wagon with a Valiant/Baracuda front clip and barracuda grill.

5000 would make more sense to me since it does have damage on other quarter and door but it does have a good engine etc. etc. Guy may be fishing for a offer, maybe not??? upload_2019-8-18_16-23-42.png

  28. Thanks for looking, but too small, I like the BIG UGLY and gets 5 Miles to the gallon monster. LOL. I might be going to look at a 1961 chevy 4 door here in town, or a 68 chevy wagon out by Nashville if we can agree on the price. Bruce.
