I'm in Kingman, the car is doing OK. It's kind of hot out. And I'll hit rush hour traffic in Vegas. I put the electric fuel pump back in the car after my trip to Tucson a week ago. I switch it on when going up hills, when it's hot out. It lets the engine keep running. I guess it's getting some vapor lock with the mechanical pump. I ought to run a fuel return line, I guess. But it will probably get me there, the way it is. Sorry no pics on this stretch, it's kind of boring.

Fresh coat of rain x. It was sprinkling in Tucson.

Is hot in Vegas, and the freeway is jammed up. I guess these old cars worked better when there weren't so damn many people!

    First glimpse of the city

Also, I got to fix a little fuel leak near a carb, and the hood has popped open a couple times. Got to keep it interesting. IMG_20190809_163040921.jpeg

Yes! There it is, right there, it IS a word. Keep the tires on the road, full of air, and you'll get there. You sure come up with some unique adventures. Everyone's behind you, once again. I am Butch/56sedandelivery.

Thanks! And since I don't have any hudsonite, I have to add some ATF to the clutch every day. It leaks quite a bit.

I have a friend that is a salt water fishing charter/guide. He quit buying high priced marine wiper motors twice a season and switched to Rain-X without using the wipers. It works pretty darned well as a replacement, but he says UV's kill it immediately. One sunny day and it may as well have never been coated. So his deck hand puts on a new coat each time it is cloudy after a sunny day and they do fine.
    Something to consider anyway.

Happy to be riding with you on the internet.

Interesting about rain-x and UV light. I've not had it disappear in a day, but it does go away after a while.

Anyways, this car has a serious sun visor on it so there's not much sun getting on it. And it is probably done raining, for the most part...last two August Rallys I've been on have been dry. But you never know.
