Hi, nice pic of Louisville. I was there for a couple of days. I have been doing the Nats for over 30 years and I guess for the 50th I was expecting more. A 1982 Chevy suburban is now considered a Street rod. There was also an 80's ford 4x4. As long as a person has the $45. to enter NSRA doesn't care since they are getting money hungry like Good Guys.

  3. It was the biggest car count, biggest swap meet and most vendors I’ve ever seen at Louisville. I don’t know how anyone could have attended and left feeling disappointed.

I’m not the biggest NSRA fan out there but I was impressed. After several years just kinda feeling burnt out on the whole scene, I came home curious to see what’s on the HAMB today and wanting to start a new project.

    My thoughts exactly.
I was there for 3 days and saw a lot of good cars, but you had to walk past a bunch of the other.
NSRA says if it has wheels it's good!.

I was a NSRA state rep when they announced the sliding 30 year rule. There were a lot of pissed off people that year. And all of us with our blue and white shirts took a lot of negative comments over the decision. Why did you do this to us I was asked. All I could say was that it was Vern Walkers decision and not mine

Friday there was a NSRA rep on a mobility scooter that came up in the field and was talking to some people and he backed up into my friends 66 Nova front fender and I said watch what you are doing and he acted like it was no big deal. They need to limit the use of those scooters to people who really need them and not the whole family and 15 year old kids

You should have got his name from his shirt and went inside and complained to the NSRA office inside

The really sad part of that story is that of all people the reps are supposed to be real car people. That being said they should understand the pride that people have I their cars. NSRA is missing the boat on their choices for state reps.

I know you try to be nice HRP this was not handled right in any fashion. The rep didn’t act concerned at all and should loose his blue shirt over the incident

Went down Friday and Sat IMG_20190802_152651928_HDR.jpg , went last year, many OT cars and very non hotrod types. But I found enough to look at and liked to make my day. this year I guess the hotrod hobby left me I didn't leave it. Yes some of the tricked out scooters that need wheelie bars to keep front wheels on ground need to be thinned out at least inside building. I am glad I went but not happy with traffic getting there. This is my last one at so big an event . I have been to quite a few meets at Louisville and had lots of fun but can't take heat and walking to see what I like .Ain't gittin no dam hotrod scooter.

I quit attending the MoPar Nationals because of out of control Golf carts, scooters, bikes and razors and saw many cars damage including an extremely rare Hemi R/T convertible. Some people have legitimate reasons for them such as heart etc and that’s fine and what they should be there for but at the MoPar Nats it is usually someone to lazy to walk around (That really needs the exercise) or people letting their kids rip around as fast as possible to get rid of them. Ruined the show , been close to a few fights over almost getting ran down before. The Nats better watch it or the same will happen.

Yes the parts store had to get one from there Nashville store. No one in the exhibition building had one . It was the old external regulator type. Got it on Saturday morning. The trip home sundday went smoothly. Thanks fo asking.

It's interesting to look through all the threads on the Nationals and see which cars the members take photos of to post. A lot a variety and their different tastes in cars stands out.

  28. thanks to all who post pics, much appreciated, ..I like em all, especially the "beaters"...
those scooters are getting to be a real problem and too many people today have a lack of any concern for other's property....that official should be kicked out of NSRA.

Thanks for the pics! Uncle Ray's '35 Coupe is quite the vintage piece. Sure would like to hear it's story.
