Update: Driven by Paul Cox (and possibly Gary Essman who drove the Fiat that owner Jim Miles is more famous for). Evidently Miles also drove it as well.

BTDT. I was not astute enough to ease off the gas - bent up my front suspension when I slammed down.

    I'll bet you did!

I wasn't ready for that picture...
and broke my front chair legs when I slammed down.

Look at the bright side, you had gas. Had it been fuel , the last thing you would want to do is "ease off".:)

One of the nicest fuel tanks of that era. I also like the Watts link with cross steer.

This is not an altered but rather the Marjama family's Marco Sandblasting AA/C out of Minneapolis that ran in the high 8's with its gas burning small block. Son Gary went on to start the Pro Jack business that makes the hydraulic quick lift jacks used by the majority of the pro drag race teams.

I remember the first time I saw one of them in a magazine when I was a kid, I was fascinated by it............because I didn't understand how that could possibly work.

    Look close...it's (support) there.
Just cleverly hidden by the background (main hoop) and the angle we are seeing it at.

  25. I just bought this altered and will be getting back on the track next season.

I'm looking for any information on the car including who made the body. It is a fiberglass, solid roof, body that has one operating door on the right hand side. Anyone have any information @rooman??

The car is now silver and blue, but will be repainted this winter.
