I decided in my older years to visit Sweden since I had several friends I have met over the years when they came to the states.
I decided to Make my visit during the “Classic CarWeek” in Rattvik this is a small town of about 5,000 that will have about 100,000 visit over the week. If you have ever wondered what happened to the cars you grew up with in the 50’s and 60’s this where they are. I will post a few from my phone and perhaps more from my computer once I return to the states. The 67 Caddy was the ride I had while visiting my friends Daniel and Henric .Enjoy!! Welcome to Sweden.
If you can, then you must visit Uddevalla this weekend.

I attended for the first (but definately not the last) time to the FANTASTIC event A-bombers Oldstyle Weekend.

    Everything where perfect;
Sunny weather (~30 degrees Celsius), wonderful people, cold beer, warm coffee, live bands and hundreds of the coolest rides in northern Europe.
    Even a small swap meet.

Saturday there was a hillclimb race about two Swedish miles north, with both rods and old bikes. (Harleys and some BSA.)
Some spontaneous cruising convoy to the hillclimbsite.

THIS is the event that will help me get through the upcoming winter!

Some pics while i try to figure out how to post videos from the hillclimb event:

Just curious, what’s the cost of some of these cars or builds compared to the states?

I believe we have quite the same pricing here in Sweden, even in some cases cheaper!

We have "Blocket", https://www.blocket.se/ , i think it´s similar to Craigslist in the US?

For the showpainted, all-chrome hardware, V8 kind you´ll pay about 25-35 grand.

For the restored original, turn key Tudor -29 you´ll have to pay about $12-15.000.
I get my US pricing input from TV-shows like "Fast and Loud", so i might be well off.... :)

    -Well, mr. Butch....
Kebab Pizza is the best thing since baby Jesus invented beer in cans. Especially if you get the Kebab Pizza topped off with fries and garlic sauce.
Regarding Fast&Loud-Magnus: His business "Lonestarcars" http://www.lonestarcars.se/ are located in the deep south of Sweden, a one hour drive from my place.

Now, go get yourself a Pizza Kebab with some Swedish beer, dude! ;)

Pretty sure you don't want to see a Swedish beach 2019.. The rumor about nice girls is long time ago gone... What you see today is 250 LBS ladys with snus=tobacco under the lip, or bathing women in full cover black dresses.. Called burka.. So better you come over to see our car events.. And please do, there is a lot of hospitality and nice people here.We just love our US brothers.. 67915661_2316648291746747_9125747906958065664_o.jpg 68364648_2316648061746770_6940652225324646400_o.jpg 67823527_2316532138425029_4714841305992134656_n.jpg 67716892_1655466877918977_7776659028146388992_o.jpg 67741825_1924134567686133_8202775996441559040_o.jpg 68401424_1114783145376525_6065873142109175808_o.jpg
