Just want to put a shout out to some BAD Rats that thought it would be cool to siphon someone gas tank out of her 50 Chevy while left overnight at Sparky’s Old School car car show at the Syracuse Nats this weekend. I hope you needed the gas more than her and left her stranded on the side of Interstate 90 on her way home. There are a lot of Great people in out Hobby that will just about do anything for another rodder. I myself worked on 3 cars this weekend to get them up and going, looking for nothing more than a Smile and a handshake their car is back on the road. She worked hard to get her car there. Meet a lot of cool people and old friends. And have this ruin her day. Thank you.

What a cheap Bastard to steal gas . I wish I could have caught him . Really hard to explain at the ER , why you look like a popsicle with 10 ft of hose stuck up your azz !
Boy, I hate to hear that,too. No security at the show? Too late, but always a good idea to do a walk around, pre-flight check before leaving-oil,water, gas, tire air pressure, loose parts. Lots to go awry on an old cars.
Hopefully there is more good people than bad ones in this world. Nothing gets my dander up then someone touching others personal property.
My buddy caught a low life corksucker stealing his gas one night, had him on the ground with his foot on his neck when the cops got there. The cop told him the crook could press charges on him for battery and obstruction. He was pissed He told the cop that if he caught him or anyone else again he would deliver him to the station but would not be responsible for the scumbags condition. We don't put up with too much crap her in redneck country
Sorry the hear this. Rats have no respect or integrity...not even for each other. It's all take with them at others expense. Then there are those that go above and beyond, showing respect and integrity by selfishly helping others. They get two thumbs up from me. Karma baby!

That sucks but man I can't believe anyone would siphon gas in this day and age. Seriously I know nobody thats ever happened to and I've seen some shit. Well hopefully it didnt ruin her whole experience that weekend this hobby is full of some really awesome people that'll give you the shirt off their back
We had trouble with jerks using a phillips head screwdrive/hammer on our church buses. TWICE. They just drained out enough to fill the container and let the rest run out on the pavement! God bless'em! Plenty of selfish jerks out there............all about what they want. Finally fenced and locked the area and then they were too lazy to climb the fences. 6sally6
We did hear back from the promoters of the show and they did have some trouble late in the evening and had to escort some out of the Camping area. There were multiple vehicles that were pillaged over Saturday night. Overall the Event was a lot of fun and met a ton of Cool people.
I'm not very surprised when it happens out in the world... But that people would actually go to a car show, enjoy the event with the rest of the good people, camp among the rest of the good people... ... and then act like assholes and steal from them. Some years ago at the National Studebaker Driver's Club in Phoenix some worthless person stole a side mirror off a Mid-thirties Stude while it was parked in the parking lot where everyone had their cars. This happened at night and they had a security video but they never caught the guy. The part he took was very rare and apparently he knew what it was.
it is not even a crime anymore to steal gas. as stated if you catch them and beat their asses you go to jail. if the cops catch them in the act they get a stern warning not to do it again. basicly if something is outside the house t is free for the taking. criminals got rights, we don't
