Went to a little swap meet and Drag race today. I didn’t find any treasures as turnout was slim. I did see these

 

Got the Vette charging system working today. Then my wife and I went to the football booster club meeting. Then when I got home I found where I had a arc at the coil. I believe that is where my miss is coming from.

 

Well I took Ethan around “Fund Raising” yesterday in the Corvette. We were selling discount cards for Ethan’s football team. The Corvette gave out on us. The coil went bad. oh well we got it back running again. We weren’t far from home and we had actually stopped a friend’s house. I ran home and got a coil off of the wagon. Now I need to buy another one.

 

Are you going to the melt down race?

 

No, I am going to have to skip this year. With all of the stuff after my grandfather passed away this year I have used more vacation days than normal. Also Ethan is going to be starting offensive line for his football team and can't miss practice.

We will probably be in the same predicament as far as football goes next year but I may check into flying in close and renting a car. fly in of Friday fly out on Sunday morning.

 

Well I had a brain fart today. I loaded some stuff up to take to the local cruise in/swap meet and headed out.
When I got there I realized that it is next week

That's what happen when you drive around in a old Vette.

 

It broke down on us the other evening.
The coil went bad.

 

I read about that, tell you what Enloe for the pleasure of driving "that" car around I could very easily live with a bad coil every once in a while. I just bet Ethan would agree with that too.

 

Well got the coil fixed today. I also fixed some of the bad wiring around the coil. In the “Castle of Mess”

I was in the best spot ever.

 

Went to the cruise in today. The truck was still loaded from the swap meet debacle last week.

I hung out and sold some stuff. After that I went home and got the Corvette and went back. A great day all in all. Here’s some pictures.

 

I am trying to get out of work early today as I have to go to Chattanooga this afternoon. If I can get out early enough I believe I will drive the corvette down there.
There is supposed to be a corvette show tomorrow in Chattanooga. I will go hit the swap meet. I like the numbers matching crowd cast offs

Then there is a local car show at the shake shack Saturday evening.
I am going to try to hit that one as well

 

Well I have left work early because the weather is nice. I am riding around in the Corvette.

Well I went to the Corvette show this morning. I thought I would hit up the swap meet and maybe buy some “cast off” parts. That was a NOGO the swap meet was non existent.
I did see some nice stuff though.

 

I will be going to a cruise at the local burger joint this evening. So expect more pics.

 

And only a hint of that 63 Impala.

 

Well we had a good evening. Went to the cruise but attendance was a little slim because of the big show in Louisville. Here’s a few pictures.

 

Ethan drove the 98 Chevy Z-71 extended cab. After the show Ethan and his sister drove home. My wife and I stopped at a local bar and grill and socialized for a bit. Then we stopped at Wendy’s and got a burger.

 

I talked to a guy this evening that had a Edelbrock intake and Holley carburetor for a SBF for 125.00 if anyone is interested give me a holler and I will hook you up with his number.

 

Well I am going out to the garage to start the 1st project of the weekend. Going to work on the shovelhead

I got the Harley fixed, washed, and waxed.
Now time to get ready and go watch Ethan play football. More projects tomorrow.
