Don't include me in your group of NOBODYS who didn't read the first post. You probably did not read my post #4108, where I copied the entire post of Centurion9's thread starter. If you do a search I believe you will find that is at least the 2nd time I have done that. I have read probably 90% of every post on this thread!

Nah, you're good. I was gonna quote your post, but lost it and figured I'd just go all the way back to post #1.

The silly little arguments back and forth get old - "Well, it's just mildly chopped..." :D

Oh, and here's a nice mildly customized Ford. Nosed, shaved and lowered just a little. And what looks like a home-grown flame job.

The thing that is odd about this kerfuffle is that the car that started it isn't even chopped.

The rear of the Plymouth roof was replaced with one from a similar year Chevy, but it is stock height.

So, should anyone really be arguing about it being chopped?

I'm pretty sure the person who posted it didn't even realize the roof had been altered (I didn't catch it at first). But then we posted additional evidence to prove it had been modified as described above.

Can we please just move on?

  6. I put it up originally....I knew what was up with it...and see a good discussion ensued

Ganahl’s interpretation is what I followed when I bought and later Restored my car. My Insurance company considers it Modified. I consider it mild. Am I mistaken. IMG_2075.JPG IMG_2072.JPG

  14. Not a show car but I’ve always described it as a mild custom.[IMG][IMG]

Ditch the white letter tites and drop it about 5 inches, and you are on your way to it being a mild custom. Right now, it looks like a sleeper hot rod.

That 49-52 design, the body lines on those cars literally begs to be a tail-dragger! At least lower than the front end! And I'd fix the radiused rear fender openings.

That said, everyone has their own opinions; the car is a beauty! I had a '51 Sport Coupe set up similar to it about ten years ago.

20180616_134643.jpg Screenshot_20190508-202529_Gallery.jpg Just shared these in the old style kustoms thread but I guess that it fits in here too. My 48 chevy project that's been nosed, decked, shaved, and has a 1950 Cadillac 331 engine.

My, new to me, mild custom. Nosed, louvered and decked. Shaved handles in the works. Still rolling full caps, poverty caps or chrome lug nuts and trim rings around in my head. Currently searching for a grill too.

    Love this thread! 20190722_144532.jpg

The stock grille will be hard to beat.

I really like this version of Ron Dulin's Plymouth, especially the raised fins and El Dorado lights.

My mild 51 sports coupe, built this some years back. Should have had the bumpers and front rechromed. Damn money. 1951-chevy-sports-coupe-mild-custom-2.jpeg 1951-chevy-sports-coupe-mild-custom-1951-chevrolet-1.jpeg

I've seen this little shoebox Ford at several local shows and thought you might enjoy a pic. Sorry I didn't tak any other shots. I'll try to remedy that later this summer. FB_IMG_1564365453283.jpeg
