I would... but I wouldn’t know who to contact to see if they were interested in the story.

Another fun day... we got to meet the real Mater! The man who inspired one of my favorite characters from the movie CARS. And yes... he’s just like the movie. He can make his legs turn almost all the way around and walk backwards. lol I guess that’s where they got the idea of him being good at driving backwards? Also hit the fudge place in Uranus Missouri. So yeah... lots of jokes all day after that with the wife. ;) 6D123439-408D-4C47-92C9-555BF4227BB3.jpeg 9D711FAB-01AD-4389-963C-796199DDD4CD.jpeg his famous turned around foot trick... You’re on the home stretch with a million experiences, amazing! That little Rambler should be put in a place of honor with your family.

  5. OK. So these don't seem so funny now after your last batch of photos. But I figured since you didn't get to go back and re-shoot some pics...

  6. What a great trip - saw and stayed at many of the places, bridges, abandoned buildings - time marches on but it’s also sad to see them going to ruin. It is an adventure of a lifetime and I am really glad you are sharing your adventure with us......

Shiver me timbers! Wonder what the mascot is? Wonder if the Uranus Pirates ever played the Yuba City Honkers?[IMG]

This picture is priceless. Your son hanging out the window and you underneath. I noticed the jug of oil in the back for the Rambler. You need to frame this in a 8x10. Glad your having a good time.
The Rambler needs to stay in the family!!!!!!
It just a neat Wagon and served you well.......

Did you all notice that the kids, in every picture, have big smiles on their faces?
    Great job Mom and Dad.

Thanks everyone for the kind words and all the encouragement! The kids are having a really good time for sure. We’ve made so many memories and met some really cool people along the way. No regrets here at all! We have to be home by Friday so tomorrow is the last day of sightseeing. Friday morning we’ll be getting up and leaving around 4am for one more long push back home. Here are a few pics from today... and the Rambler is still running!!! :)

Wow, seeing the ketchup bottle should have been the pinnacle of your trip - Ha! So, when you get home will be time to pack for Walt Disney World Resort trip - too much to think about right now?

Thanks... my plan was to sell it after this trip, but now I have grown to really like the thing. I’ll need to somehow make room in the barn for it.

  26. Thanks for taking us along on your Road Trip! It's been fun riding along. That's a sweet little Rambler wagon. Some great photos, a Cool family, and memories that will last ya a lifetime. My dad and mom would take us kids on lots of road trips in our family wagon. { a 66 Ford Fairlane } I'll bet the kids will like to have that Rambler when they start driving! Have a happy 4th of July. America, will even look better through the window of American Motors wagon. ;) Ron.....

You can't sell it! I wouldn't change a thing, it's proven it's dependability, especially if you have room for it.
