Matt took another full time job and told me he was retiring the header line and concentrating on intakes now? I wish he would do some more headers
I am good on banger but would have liked to have snagged a flat V8 set before he quit

  2. The car on the Left has a "Banger" for power! On it's right, the car has a Sturtevant V8 aircraft engine. The third car, the Allard, has a 1950 Cadillac V8. The location is Buttonwillow Raceway (West of Bakersfield CA).

Looking for a timing gear cover distributor drive for an A. Charlie Yapp is out of stock. Also would like info on a crank triggered ignition system. Thanks in advance

I have a couple, but have plans for them. If he is planning on making more, and you can replace mine before I need it, then we can work something out.

  10. Denis,
There are two different types of crank fired ignition systems, one uses distributor and the other uses multiple coils.
MSD makes the dist type, will need two magnets on the timing wheel.
Electromotive and others make the multiple coil types, these typically use a 60-2 trigger wheel.
Have been using the EM and Haltech for years, the trigger wheel has to be on the large side and the sensor is critical over 5k revs.

Can someone confirm if it is? I also don’t know where and how to install it. I would appreciate any guidance. Am I missing something on the pedal end for mounting on the firewall?

  12. nothing super exciting to report.....did buy a original manual for my 9N-2N-8N's I'd like to share.......later

  13. Glenn, that is 32 and here is mine mounted in a 31 roadster. There is a small tin cover that covers the one end that mounts it to the firewall. Hard to see in the photo. 20181007_115641.jpg

Thanks for the photo and info. Does the little tin cover actually act as the mount? What does the small hollow oval’ish tube on the pedal end attach to?

  17. The oval end positions the rod against the firewall and the tin cover holds it in place.

It's a scalded dog intake from Charlie Yapp at secrets of speed society. Yep a 94.
