    WERE MOVING!
Whats the old saying “Change is Opportunity”
Over the years we’ve made a couple of moves always to better suit our business plan and to better serve our customers. It’s time to do it once again. This time we’re packing up the San Diego facility and moving it to beautiful Licking Missouri. There are several advantages to moving but for the most part this will help with our shipping consistency by re-locating closer to the central United States. The move will also allow us to continue to be cost competitive while holding down uncontrollable, run away overhead costs. Nothing will change other than the seat frames will be built and shipped to you from MO. opposed to CA. Escrow is just now closing on the new location and we are looking to be completely operational in Missouri by the first of 2019. Until then we are working as usual in San Diego and hope to discuss your HotRod seating needs with you soon.
    Thanks again, Bob

Looking forward to spending more time here on the HAMB! Just joined one of the local car clubs here in Licking Missouri and anxiously awaiting the Hwy 63 Car Club’s event of the year. From what I here they get quite a draw from nearby communities to this annual car show.

But enough of that for now... It always puts a smile on my face when out of the blue I receive a message like the one I got this morning from Rich Scheller.

    Bob,

I know that it has been two years, but the body shop is not real fast. I don’t have the interior done yet so I cannot show you your seat finished yet, but here is the rear rolled pan you built for me. Everybody in the body shop asked where I got the rolled rear pan. I think that it looks great, could not have done it without your help. Gives a more finished look to the Model A rear end. Thanks Again!
The second picture is the car coming home from the body shop.
    Rich

Thanks Rich for starting my day off right!

This was a custom frame built to Ronnie’s specs and to fit on his existing seat riser, we think he nailed it. Just what one would expect to see in a early surf wagon. No knobs, levers, or plastic covers! Thanks for the pics Ron!

Glen shot us the dimensions he required for his 29 Model A truck seat frame base and back. He wanted a narrow back to maximize his leg room and yet fit his seat riser. We think his upholstery Guru did a great job as well... thanks again Glen for the finished pics. Looks great!

Early Thirty Down and Dirty 2019 / 2020 Christmas and Year End Offer...

MODEL A’s and DUECE SEAT FRAMES
    OFFER Starts Dec 1, 2019
    ENDS Jan 1 2020
We have decided to do another production run for the holiday season and year end 2019.
We are excited as this will be the closing of our first year from our new location where its a very real possibilty of a white Christmas! We aint in So Cal no more!

Our "Early Thirty Down and Dirty 2019 / 2020 Christmas and Year End Offer”
    Details...
These seat frames will be only offered on the Hamb O dex and they will be based on the Model A & 32 Ford Bench Seat Frame measurements. They are our Retro Style adjustable flip back bench seats. It should be noted that they will also fit nicely in a wide variety of vehicle of the early 30's era.

    Our standard Model A measurements:
42" across the top of the back panel
37.5" across the front of the bottom panel
18.5" deep on the bottom panel
25" from floor to top of the seat back. (In straight the up position)
5" Thick ride height at front of the lower panel
*** Add 1" to over all height if seat sliders are used
*** Specify a slight peak / bowed seat back, or flat.

Also avaliable in 1932 Ford standard sizes... see web site STANDARD seat page for our 32 measurements. @ www.hotrodseats.com

Our Retro Style standard frames include flip forward adjustable backs utilizing grade 8 bolts as piviots. Adjustments are made by way of adjustable bump stops. All of our frames are fully welded steel tube with no open exposed tube ends, Fully laced Zig Zag No Sag springs, Fixed mounting brackets, and Fully painted with gloss black paint. Perfect fit for that Roadster, Stock closed body, or that heavily chopped car or truck. Just add high density foam for your desired seat ride position. These frames will be built in production runs of 10 or more at a time so we can keep the production costs ultra competitive. Delivery time is still we have a few in stock now... when these are sold the next run will be 3.5 to 4 weeks after receipt of order. (Call to confirm) We think the extreme cost savings will make the slightly longer build time worth the wait.

As mentioned this is a HAMB Discount only! If your not a member forget this offer, or it might be a good reason to sign up and become a Hamb member? You must ASK for this discount at the time of purchase... it will not be extended past the time of the of purchase and we are not going to volunteer it to you. This is our way of giving members that are active on the Hamb O Dex a true discount.

The bottom line is this... These seat frames will be sold for $545.00 plus shipping and handling... Shop this price and be amazed.
Then shoot us your mailing zip code for a S&H Quote. Bolt on seat slider adjusters are available with this offer for an additional $75.00 for the pair and includes the cable interconnects and crimps. A flip up base for under the seat access is also being offered at an additional $50.00.
May we strongly suggest that if you are in need of a seat frame now or will be in the next six months that you make this a priority. Don't let this offer get away from you! It is the best value on the market today... Feel free to contact us with any of your seat related questions and let us know your interested in the "Down and Dirty Early Thirty Blazing Hot & Humid” Summer Offer.

*** If there is a price listed in the above paragraph this offer is still active. But wont last long so dont procrastinate!
Now more than ever COMPARE PRICES then glide past the others and let Bengels save your ASS!

I know this is kind of a strange thing to be thanking you guys for... but thanks for throwing your stimulus checks our way. We got very very slow with the Rona scare but your Hot Rod fever proved to be even stronger. At the first sign of checks being sent out the phone started ringing again. In my minds eye I could see masks being ripped off and garages across the world being inhabited once again! I was taking calls from New Zealand, Afghanistan, Canada, and even Sweden but mostly here state side. Most of you found us here on the HAMB and I wanted to thank you guys as well as Ryan for all the referrals and your support over the years... Thank You, it is apreciated!

In my way of thinking this seat turned out perfect! Thanks again Steve for your business and allowing us to share these pics of your finished seat... looks awesome!

Just a reminder that we work well with, and ship to the Export Broker of your choice. As of late we have been shipping a lot of seats to Paramont CA. They will ultimately be going to New Zealand and Australia. Thanks guys for the nice words and referrals down under. Its Appreciated!

I tried calling Bengel's a while back, never could raise anyone on the phone. Any ideas?

I ended up buying a wise guy seat frame instead. I would have rather bought a Bengels.

  29. Love my Bengels seat frame, it worked out so nicely in my roadster that my brother put one in his '33 coupe. I'm now building a '35 and hoping to put one of your seats into it... this one with sliders and the whole shootin' match. With Interior.jpg IMG_4502.jpg

Is Bengels Hot Rod still building seats frames? Seems they were pretty active on the HAMB but nothing for some time.
