My name is Eric and I just purchased my first Hot Rod! It's a 32 Ford Roadster, all Henry steel.
1946 Ford Flathead with 53 Merc heads, 39 trans, 40 rear end.
The interior came out of the Bob Simons Roadster from 1956!
I'm a younger guy just getting into the Hot Rod community. I was inspired by the Bernie Couch Roadster and will be keeping this car as close as possible to how he ran in the late 40's.
Looking forward to working on the Roadster with the help of the H.A.M.B. community!

His name is Eric 16 and he says he's a young guy. Is he just trolling as a 16 year old? Watch out girls!

    That's no fair!
Your first hot rod should be like a
    A 64 F100 or C10
    A 62 Falcon 4 dr (gasser)
    63 Biscayne or Galaxie sedan
    Some type of Plymouth.

  16. First Hot Rod! Now that is the way to go. Good Luck. Bolt that body down.

Technically, my first Hot Rod was a 37 Chevy truck. Clear coated the body and swapped the original drive train for a 235, S-10 5 speed, and a 55 rear end. But I have always been searching for a Henry roadster that could be corrected to the late 40's feel.

Wow! I opened this thread expecting to see a rusty, dented 4 door undesirable junky old car. Woke me right up!

Great looking car. Have a fun time with it. Very nice.

  25. Most guys whose first hot rod was a 32 Ford are in their 70s-80s. You started out with the "holy grail" of cars. Nice one..
