Sorry these are all GMC's (no I'm not) part of mine. Howard 2 piece and Skinner are for 12 ports which I have buried. Thickstun is going on my sons engine. The one with cosmoline is NOS. Didn't include the side plates.
Yes, these are "rocker arm" oil control devices....;) image.jpeg image.jpeg

Not real common, 351 Cleveland Heads. A stud girdle and valve cover all in one.

Here's two with history. These are the valve covers off Jim Inglese "Full House" deuce. In my opinion that car started the whole back to our roots movement and is iconic. I've been collecting parts for years to build a tribute to the original. I consider it an honor to be the keeper of such history. 001.JPG

  14. The coolest valve covers I can think of are finned Alum aftermarket flatty heads! Drop Mic!

Found a pair of vintage BB Chevy valve covers several years ago buried in the dirt and damaged from being run over. Lots of hammering, some welding, body filler and paint to get them back in shape. I ended up using them to make desk lamps for me and my Son.

In the 80's our car club sponsored a "valve cover racer" winter event where we built a variety of vehicles from old valve covers. In following years I let a friend borrow my racer who gave it a fresh paint job and raced it at a Streetrod event in California where he got a StreetRodder Magazine pick. Its last race was in 99 at Goodguys Columbus. We got eliminated in the race but ended up with an award for "Best Bitchin Valve Cover".

Those are obsolete and not worthy. I'll send you a couple bucks for shipping, so that you can send them to me for proper disposal.:p

  20. These may be a bit too modern for you guys, maybe not. I have a mild custom 55 Chevy Be Air and being a "paint guy" this is what I did. I had a local sign shop make the stencils, based the valve covers in the same black cherry as the car, then sprayed the stencil colors and cleared.
