Very Cool - - great coverage - Thanks for taking those of us that could not make it there on a tour - looks like anyone that had a bunch of $$ to spend could have found a new ride, or two, to take home

It really was a great show. Last year was a low point, but this year the show was back. Great turn out, the swap was really good (I picked up a set of 461 heads for my 30 pickup, and shook hands with and got an autographed picture of Gene Winfield), the Roadsters were outstanding, eye candy everywhere you looked. It was hard to just walk thru the roadsters in any kind of organized way to see them all, cause every time you turned your head you saw some bright beautiful object of desire and had to go check it out. And the specialty car parking area was full of awesome cars, as the pics show. There were a lot more than I could take photos of, and I took over 300 shots. I just shot those that caught my eye.

Congrats to the LA Roadsters and returning this show back to this level of awesomeness. And I have to add, nice layout, I thought it worked great. I'm looking forward to next year, let's do it again!

That's for sure, but many of these were over priced, guys that really didn't want to sell, just wanted to "test the waters", so to speak. Though there was a really nice 32 roadster in the show, looked like original Henry steel to me, like an old build, out of Arizona, with a for sale sign on it with a price of $26k. If that one makes it through the weekend unsold I'd be surprised. If you really want to sell a car, price it like that.

  8. I have gone to several LARS in the past, but health issues prevent me from attending again. Dammit !

  9. Lots of nicely finished cars. Could we be seeing the end of the crappy, rusty shit fad? I sure hope so.

Wow , you sure have a great eye for the cool cars, thanks for taking the time to post and allowing every one who couldn’t be there to enjoy the pics.
very pleased to hear the LARS is back on track as a premier event.
Our last visit was in 2017 , while we enjoyed the event there was a lot of walking between empty spots. Sunday was a ghost town , we just picked up some pre ordered parts and left as there was no one left. How was Sunday this year?

Pete Eastwood had the Bud Bryan/Julian Alvarez Model A for sale. Price posted when I saw it was $100k. Car has a great history and probably should be in a museum. As far as I know it didn't sell on Saturday.

  18. Excellent show this year!! What a contrast to last year. This was only my third show and this year was better than the last two combined and then some.

The swap meet was pretty full and the lot next to it had so many cool cars. There were so many more roadsters in the roadster area next to the buildings. So many to see.

I was on the look out for Model A's on A frames but there weren't many. I know it's a matter of personal preference but seeing almost every type and year of roadster on a '32 frame gets a little old.

I met Steve from the HAMB and got to see his AV8 build. I also met a really nice couple from Bakersfield that had a beautiful AV8 on a A frame in the "shiny paint" area of the show up close to the buildings.

Thank you guys for posting all of the photos. It was hard to catch it all. I was tired last night and found out why. My Apple Watch says I logged 7 miles of walking yesterday between 7:30am-2pm. I covered all of the show that I could. The weather was amazing compared to the extreme heat the last two years.

Kudos to everyone that organized and made the show a success. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Had a good chat with the seller and bought a few things, nice guy and knowledgeable. Unfortunately he didn't know the history behind this particular piece.

The slicks at the bottom of the photo were neat.... I believe Monkey Wards brand.

Thanks for all the great pics. Looks like there was plenty to look at even without the roadsters. Sure were plenty I could live with in my driveway. Anyone who could find fault with this show needs to find other interests.

  24. Went today to see if can get more eyes on the Plymouth.
It was sparse some local and long Travelers were packing it up. Got some 1.00 small deals, a few things left to the trash there.

Glad to hear that LARS is back. I came out 2 years ago and wanted to this year but couldn’t swing it. I feel pretty confident that I should make next year more of a priority after all the pictures and comments! Thanks for posting everyone
