    Come-on!!!! Everybody (back-in-the-day) thought a hardtop was "cool-er than" a 2 door sedan!
    Whistling windows and all.

Another story I heard years ago... Jimmy is part of the I-96 freeway embankment in Livonia, Mi. which was being built during his disappearance... I could be wrong....

There is that. But what about how the pits look today in comparison? You don't see Big Rigs, Motor Homes and Food Truck with outdoor seating for your guest's.

  7. The 210 Sport coupe was a clean looking car. There are some interior pieces that are specific to only this model. A friend has one that's been '' Bel Aired''.

I think he was saying back then people came to race what they built. It wasn't a big business adventure with multi million dollar sponsors.

Irvine was kind of unique back then, nobody living in the city owned their property, it was all "leased land", owned by the Irvine Co.. The drag strip did not sell the land to the developers (because they never owned it), the Irvine Co. just cancelled the lease, so they could build the big hotel next door (across the RR tracks). The hotel did not want the noise...
