  1. Some pics of the action. It was difficult to get some wheels up shots, the high wall and the hoard of photographers were to blame.

  7. I met this retired Navy Vet named Chris a few years ago at MIR. He is a true inspiration to get out there and race, money be damned. This car is powered by a lowly stock 305, stock cam and some older after market iron heads on alcohol. He is a one man show. He Hauls it to the line with a three wheeler, leaves a bike at the finish line so he can go back and get his hauler(saves some fuel). He just races for fun at these type of events and was running low 9s today with one weak cylinder. Great guy and an inspiration to get off my but and get the FED finished.

  9. I believe that is it. I was on overload, too much cool stuff to take in. I did not post the Nitro Funny cars, they were mostly early 70's but they were fantastic and in abundance.

Wanted to be there. Have a lot of friends that were there. And it's only 25 minutes from me. Was in the garage before 6AM. But alas, I have a case of the fresh motor blues. Gene.

Great pics, must've been a blast. What did the double A car run? did he make a hard pass? Was he the only one there?

  23. Thanks, I had to confer with my son and we think he was in the 6s or 7s (90% nitro) and I believe he was the only one that I saw run. Quite a few Nitro Funny cars and FEDs made some fast passes also. It's a nice track and we had a great time.
I'm trying to get my son to post some pics on here that he took.
